How this started
Memory Magnets began the way most good things do, with a gift. A handmade set of nine square photo magnets, pressed from a family's first year with their daughter, given to a grandmother who cried happy tears in the kitchen and immediately cleared a space of honor on the refrigerator. That little grid did what no photo book or cloud album ever managed: it made a memory part of everyday life, seen with every morning coffee.
We went looking for clear, honest information about how these magnets are made, and found fragments. A product listing here, a forum post there, plenty of sales pages, but no single place that treated the craft seriously: what separates a premium magnet from a cheap one, how the machines actually work, what the real numbers behind a magnet business look like. So we built that place.
What we do

Why we stay independent
The personalized gift industry is full of review sites that rank products by commission rate rather than quality. We take a different approach: our guides explain what to look for, die materials, warranty terms, supply costs, print settings, so you can evaluate any machine or supplier on merit, including ones we have never heard of. When we mention price ranges, they reflect the typical market at the time of writing, and we say so. When a technique has trade-offs, we describe them. A resource you cannot trust is a resource that does not work, and we intend to be the page people send their friends.
What comes next
The site is growing. On the workbench right now: printable photo templates for every die size, a materials calculator that prices a batch before you press it, seasonal design guides for holiday selling, and interviews with makers who have built full-time magnet businesses from their kitchen tables. The fridge, as we like to say, has plenty of room left.
What we believe
That physical photos matter more in a digital world, not less. That a $1 magnet carrying the right photo outperforms a $100 gift carrying none. That a kitchen-table business built on people's happiest memories is one of the most honest ways to earn a living. And that the refrigerator door, humble, daily, central, is the most underappreciated gallery in the world.
